Greetings from Colorful Colorado! It has been a full month since I arrived to the mile-high city of Denver. Coincidentally, today is also the day all the first-years moved into their dorms. Needless to say, I got nostalgic about Greeters and U.Va.'s own move-in day(s)... I even saw a girl with a Virginia Chi Omega sweater on and freaked out in excitement! You must be wondering (1) why is this girl wearing a sweater and (2) what is she doing at DU? First, it was 60 degrees outside during move-in (I know you're jealous, friends who are still experiencing humidity!); second, she was transferring. Whomp whomp. Regardless, it seemed like all the first-years were excited to be here, just as we are to have some students back on grounds campus again.
You must be wondering, "You've been there for the past month, so why haven't we heard a peep from you until now?" I've been meaning to post updates since I've arrived, but I unfortunately got caught up in trying to make this blog look halfway decent. (Apologies in advance that it does not resemble something as cute as this.)
I have big plans to update you all on my trip out west, the grown-up adventures I've had thus far, getting settled in, and life as a grad student. Until then, here's a picture of me as Katie Hyson and I arrived into the state of Colorado.
